Five Carver High School students pepper sprayed by parent

A parent pepper sprayed a crowd of students at Carver High School Wednesday morning, injuring five students as they were entering the building, according to an official statement from Atlanta Public Schools.

Officials say four of the students were treated at the scene and another was transported to a local hospital.

The parent was arrested, and, officials say, she will be charged for her "inappropriate conduct."

The campus resumed normal operations.

Atlanta Public School Police Department is investigating the incident.
