PORT TOWNSEND, Wash. - An accident involving a carnival ride at a Washington festival sent three people to a Seattle hospital Thursday evening.
It happened at the Rhododendron Festival at Memorial Field in Port Townsend, Washington. According to KOMO, 3 people were knocked out of the ride when a witness said the cart they were in flipped upside down. Officials said they landed on the ride's metal flooring about 20-30 feet below.
Officials identified the victims as a woman in her 70s, a woman in her 40s, and a 6-year-old boy
All three were flown by helicopter to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
