ATLANTA - A city worker died in northwest Atlanta Monday morning after a tree he cut fell on top of him, knocking him out of his bucket truck.
The accident happened in the 2000 block on Springlake Drive NW after 10 a.m. City officials identify the worker as Donald Rembert, a 29-year veteran with the city.

An Atlanta Fire Department spokesman said the worker was in the bucket truck cutting the tree, when it apparently fell on top of him and knocked him to the ground.
A resident said he heard other workers yelling, “No, no, no” when the accident happened.
Resident Michael Lewin told FOX 5’s Patty Pan when he ran to the scene, he saw the worker on the ground with the tree on top of him.
Video from SKYFOX 5 showed a number of fire and police vehicles on the scene of the accident.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation
