Atlanta high school, HBCU students recite King essay

Dr. Martin Luther King put forth his proposal for the future of education in the United States.

Ebenezer Baptist Church held its 54th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Commemorative Service today. 

The service featured a lineup of guest speakers who reflected on King's legacy from the church where the civil rights icon used to pastor. A couple 

King would be 94 years old today. 

‘EMBRACE’ STATUE UNVEILED IN BOSTON ON MLK WEEKEND

The church hosted President Joe Biden during its traditional MLK Sunday service. Biden called King one of his few "political heroes" and his life and legacy "show us the way and we should pay attention."

Bernice King receives standing ovation at commemorative service for her father

Bernice King, the daughter of Martin Luther King Jr. , said "we must move beyond the quotable King to the livable King."

Honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

People across the world and right here in Atlanta have spent the day reflecting on Dr. Martin Luther King Junior’s legacy. Every year, FOX 5 is proud to broadcast live the King Center's Annual Commemorative Service.

King's hometown will also honor his legacy of community service. The King Center will host its annual commemorative service at 10 a.m. 

The Children's Museum of Atlanta will host educational events and parades Monday morning and afternoon.

"Who other than MLK Jr. could get the President of the U.S.?"

President Joe Biden became the first sitting president to deliver a sermon at Ebenezer Baptist Church where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. used to be the pastor. He spoke about unity.

The Atlanta History Center will present a choir performance, civil rights-themed trivia and provide free access to exhibits.

The DeKalb County branch of the NAACP will host its annual MLK Jr. Day parade at 11 a.m. from Green Pastures Christian Ministries in Decatur.
