ATLANTA - A couple was ambushed early Wednesday morning outside a condo building in downtown Atlanta.
According to police, a man and woman were walking toward their home, Peachtree Towers, when they were ambushed by several men who jumped out of a white Ford Frontier.
Investigators said the suspects demanded the couple's belongings, and when the victims tried to run inside the building, the suspects followed them. That's when one of the suspects shot multiple rounds toward the victims.
The man was struck twice, in his hip and thigh. Police said he was listed in critical but stable condition.
Investigators said they are reviewing surveillance video that will give them a good description of the suspected gunmen.
