The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the body of country singer Craig M. Strickland has been recovered from an Oklahoma lake
Craig Strickland, 29,lead singer of the country-rock band Backroad Anthem was reported missing after a weekend hunting trip with his good friend Chase Morland. Family members became worried after not hearing from the two in more than 24 hours.
On Monday, authorities located Morland’s body.
Authorities believe the boat they were in while duck hunting capsized. It was located sometime after midnight Monday. A prayer vigil took place Monday night at the Cross Church Springdale student building after the search was called off for the night.
Since the search started, many fans have taken to Twitter to send prayers.
Strickland’s wife, Helen Strickland, has also been using social media to update fans.
Strickland and Morland are both from Arkansas.
