Police are working to unravel the murder of man found shot to death Monday morning in Clayton County.

According to police, an unnamed midde-age man was shot in his driveway at around 6 a.m.

Neighbors at the Pine Estates Apartments say the victim was a hard-working Iraqi War veteran who moved into the apartments about a year ago.

"I heard four or five gunshots. I looked out my door and I see a guy pacing back and forth," one neighbor told FOX 5's Aungelique Proctor. "He came back over here and I see gunfire come out of the barrel. Two more shots. The guy shot him again twice."

Witnesses say the gunman jumped in the passenger seat of a black BMW and the two sped away.

Crime scene investigators and police are examining the man's apartment.

They say as of now, they have no description of the gunman.
