Birmingham man dies after being shot multiple times

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - A 63-year-old man has died after he was shot multiple times during an argument in Birmingham.

AL.com reports (http://bit.ly/2quoJlJ) that Birmingham police have identified the victim as Robert Washington.

Sgt. Bryan Shelton said officers responding to a reported shooting found Washington with multiple gunshot wounds Monday night. He was taken to UAB Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Shelton says Washington knew the suspect, who hasn't been identified. The two were arguing, which resulted in a fight. Shelton says the suspect shot Washington once and then possibly stood over him and continued shooting before fleeing on foot.
