ATLANTA - Some good economic news in metro Atlanta.
The Georgia Labor Commissioner said Atlanta posted record employment and jobs numbers in June.
The number of employed is up more than 100,000 over the last year.
The labor force also grew by 22,000, exceeding 3.1 million for the first time in history.
In fact, it grew faster than could be absorbed through hiring, causing the unemployment rate to rise to 4 percent, the only negative indicator for the month.
