ATLANTA - In one of the murders of 2016, Atlanta investigators have new information they hope may lead to the killer of Veonta Evans.
It comes in the form of a video showing an image of someone running in a direction away from where Evans' body was found lying near a bicycle on griffin street.
Lt. Charles Hampton said Evans had been shot multiple times. The images in the video were captured soon after the gunfire, perhaps within seconds.
Hampton said he cannot say if the man running in the video had anything to do with the shooting, but the homicide commander believes that he may likely know something.
