Atlanta-area events this weekend: September 24th-25th

If you're looking for something fun to do this weekend, we have some ideas for you.

The 34th Annual Duluth Fall Festival takes place this Saturday and Sunday on Hill Street. The event will feature live music, a carnival, a street parade and a 5k race. You can also attend a morning worship service there on Sunday.

After you work up a good appetite at the festival, head over to the ATL Wing Fest at the Foundry at Puritan Hill. Admission is $20, and it'll certainly add some spice to your life. It’s featuring delicious eats from 25 Atlanta-area restaurants, and proceeds will go to two local charities.

For some nostalgic feels, trek over to the World of Puppetry Museum for Jim Henson's 80th birthday celebration.

The event runs from 11-5 p.m. on Saturday in Midtown. Famously known for creating the Muppets and the beloved character, Kermit The Frog, Jim Henson's extensive body of work will be on display there. Festivities will include a guided tour of Henson's collection, story time, puppet building and a special film screening.

Admission is $10.50, and kids under two are free.

If you’re looking for some 21 and older fun, try your luck in the "Best Sangria" contest at Atlanta Station on Sunday. Between 12-5 p.m., there will be specially-priced drinks at participating Atlanta Station restaurants for you to enjoy. Once you visit at least three stops on the Sangria Station map, submit your vote for the best sangria to qualify for the grand prize.

Looking for some kid-approved fun? Take the family to visit The World’s Largest Dinosaurs exhibit at the Fernbank Museum of Natural History in Atlanta. Open through January 2, 2017, the exhibit will bring to life some of the largest known dinosaurs through interactive galleries and displays. You'll have an exploring good time.
