ALPHARETTA, Ga. - Alpharetta fire investigators told FOX 5 they are baffled after someone torched three cars and a motorcycle early Monday morning.
The Alpharetta Fire Marshal David Morris said it happened around 12:40 a.m. in the Haynes Valley Subdivision.
"It's a mystery. We have no cameras or witnesses," Morris said.
Morris said two cars and a motorcycle were torched at one house on Haynes Valley Court, and a Toyota 4Runner was torched at a second house on the same street.
"We don't know the motive. We don't know if it was kids doing it as a joke, or someone who was angry," Morris said.
The damage is clearly no joke and will reach tens of thousands of dollars when you consider the garage doors were burned on one of the houses. They family who lives in the home told FOX 5 they were sleeping at the time and awoke to loud popping noises.
