PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. - Peachtree City Police arrested Milo Sanchez in a bank with a hidden firearm .38 caliber revolver. It’s a fraud case and a car break in case but the alert officer took the added precaution of patting Sanchez down in the Wells Fargo Bank and found the gun. Not typical of this type of criminal.
"Based on his behavior, patting himself and shaking uncontrollably, grabbing things. We even asked for his drivers license and he gave us his debit card. So extreme nervousness.” officer James Harris said.
This also started last Sunday with a car break in at a Peachtree City recreation facility. Unfortunately, the victim kept her pin number close by her debit card and the thieves went on a huge spending spree.
“They wreaked havoc all the way up the interstate to Shannon Mall and Union City and all different places until they could get it canceled and realized their actual debit card was missing,” Lt. Mark Brown said.
A day later police get a call of a man trying to cash a check on the closed account.
“And based on the reasonable suspicion that he was armed, the way he was acting, a seasoned officer with me conducted the pad down and found the gun in his left pocked that he was standing at the teller with,” Harris said.
Police arrested Sanchez in the bank. He is facing numerous charges. Police are still looking for possibly two other suspects in the car break in.
