ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A $40,000 reward is being offered in a cold case from 1981.
College student Tammy Mahoney was last seen hitchhiking along New York State Route 46 in Oneida.
Federal investigators believe she was raped and murdered on Oneida Nation's tribal land, but her body was never found.
The FBI held a news conference Thursday announcing the reward.
The FBI is offering $20,000 and the Oneida Nation is putting up another $20,000.
