AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Three 19-year-olds, including two Auburn University students, were arrested and charged with multiple counts of controlled substance distribution in April 2017. The arrest record of one of the teens was later expunged.
The Opelika-Auburn News reports (http://bit.ly/2pBZ2PJ) Auburn police arrested Scott Mitchell Dyson, Blake Edward Birmingham and a third person. All three are Georgia natives. Dyson attended Auburn University.
The arrests followed a three-month drug trafficking investigation by the Auburn Police Division, Chambers County Drug Task Force and the Tallapoosa County Drug Task Force. Dyson was charged with three counts and was held at the Lee County Detention Facility on $75,000 bail. Birmingham was charged with one count and was held at the detention center on a bond of $25,000.
Auburn police have not released further information.
