ATLANTA - Workers at a northeast Atlanta gas station are concerned after two gun-related incidents in one week. Both cases happened at the Chevron on Moreland Avenue in the Little Five Points shopping district.
Someone pulled out a gun on a customer in the parking lot Tuesday, according to an incident report filed with the Atlanta Police Department. And officers say, a few days prior to that incident, two armed men tied up a store clerk and robbed him of cash, lottery tickets and cigarettes. Police have made no arrests.
Store manager Naresh Rai told FOX 5 News he's worried the back-to-back incidents will make people stop shopping at the spot, which is in the heart of Little Five Points.
"A lot of crazy things are happening in this area," Rai said. "We don't know what's going outside because inside we are busy taking customers."
According to an incident report, a man told police someone pulled out a gun on him when he asked if he knew him. There were no injuries reported. And the gun-toting stranger drove away.
Rai said he hopes police continue to patrol the area. He also said he will pair up his store clerks from now on.
