Executions halted in TN after botched attempt
Tennessee’s governor has halted executions and ordered an outside investigation after Christa Pike survived two doses of a lethal injection drug during an execution attempt Wednesday nighT. An appeals court initially stopped the procedure before the Supreme Court allowed it to proceed. Witnesses said Pike remained responsive and described pain during the injections.
