Monday morning weather forecast

Metro Atlanta starts Monday with clear skies and a taste of early fall. Most areas are in the 50s this morning, while Blue Ridge and Canton have dipped into the 40s. Expect a warm afternoon near or slightly above the average high of 81 degrees. Dry weather lasts through Thursday, but humidity returns around midweek and could make Friday feel briefly like summer. Isolated to scattered showers or thunderstorms may develop Friday afternoon, followed by a wetter Saturday and Sunday with periods of heavy rain possible. The FOX 5 Storm Team does not currently expect severe weather, and Sunday’s rain could hold highs in the 70s.
