Showers begin spreading north Friday, with heavier downpours and stronger winds arriving late Friday night into Saturday. Wind gusts of 35 to 40 mph or higher, combined with soaking rain, could bring down trees and cause power outages. Tornadoes are also possible within the rainbands. Saturday is expected to bring the worst conditions, with winds gradually easing Sunday.
