Propane tank explodes in McCaysville

A propane tank behind a church in flood-ravaged McCaysville exploded four times Thursday morning, creating another dangerous situation as emergency crews continued responding to historic flooding. Firefighters initially planned to let the burning tank burn itself out but were forced to respond after multiple explosions, spraying water on the nearby church to prevent the building from catching fire.
