Tornado risk builds in Eastern Georgia after noon
Post-Tropical Cyclone Isaias brought gusty winds and heavy rain to Georgia, knocking out power to tens of thousands. Wind gusts topped 68 miles per hour in Macon while heavy rainfall created standing water on Interstate 75 in Henry County. Officials caution that tornado risks will increase across Eastern Georgia throughout the afternoon.
