Suspects sought in connection to Hollywood Road fatal shooting near food mart

An 18-year-old man was found fatally shot on Jan. 17 in a parking lot on Hollywood Road NW, according to Atlanta police.

What we know:

Officers responded to the scene in the 1000 block of Hollywood Road NW around 11:03 p.m. after receiving reports of a person shot. Upon arrival, they discovered a man lying in the parking lot of a food mart with multiple gunshot wounds.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Witnesses told police they saw a dark-colored Hyundai Sonata with a CarMax tag leaving the area. The car had a broken taillight cover on the driver's side at the time of the incident. 

Atlanta police have released photos of the victim and the vehicle that was allegedly involved.

Police believe the victim was shot during a robbery. The victim has been identified as 18-year-old Jalin "Jay" Hammons. Police released a photo of the victim.
