16-year-old shot on Decatur Street SE

ATLANTA - On Tuesday night, Atlanta police were called to the intersection of Decatur Street SE and Piedmont Avenue SE about a shooting.

They found a 16-year-old boy had been shot, but said he was alert, conscious and breathing. He was transported to the hospital.

During the investigation, police said the victim only gave them limited information about the incident. Neither a suspect nor motive have been identified.

Officers did however find that the teen may have been shot closer to Decatur Street SE and Kimball Way SE before somehow ending up three blocks away near the intersection at Piedmont Avenue SE.
