ATLANTA, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Atlanta Police say a stolen car crashed just down the street from where it was stolen on Tuesday.
Three suspects fled the crashed car on foot.
Police say Lavarius Majette went inside the Texaco gas station on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive to buy a beer. When he came back to his car, one of the male suspects asked him for a cigarette. Police say Majette went to get the cigarettes out of his car when two of the suspects showed him their guns and stole his phone, $60 in cash, his ID, and a bank card.
The third suspect, a female, sat in the back seat and asked for the phone’s pin number. Police say as the suspects were driving away, the “ring leader” shot into the air.
The car was in an accident just down the road right after the incident.
Majette was not hurt.
