COLLEGE PARK, Ga. - College Park Police are searching for a suspect behind a rash of TV thefts in local hotels.
Police believe 33-year-old Timothy Corker is the culprit, and sneaks into hotels around Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport during the busy checkout time of 11 a.m. or noon.
Detectives said Corker goes unnoticed as housekeeping cleans numerous rooms.
“He will take the television off the wall, put it in a garment bag and walk out of the hotel,” said Lieutenant Gerald Riser, Jr. “He [looks] like a customer leaving for the day.”
Police believe Corker has been stealing TVs since May, and has targeted 6 hotels locally, including Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn Express and Hyatt Place. He could also be behind other incidents in nearby cities, detectives said.
Hotel Indigo management said their hotel has stepped up security since their incident.
Police believe Corker could be in the East Metro or Lithonia area. He is wanted for seven counts of burglary.
