Pedestrian killed by train in Dixie Hills neighborhood, Atlanta police say
ATLANTA - Atlanta police have confirmed that a pedestrian is dead after being struck late Monday morning by a train near Howard Street and Blayton Circle.
Police did not give any other information about the victim or the incident and indicated that CSX Transportation will be handling the investigation.
CSX says it extends its deepest sympthanies to those impacted by the incident and it's an unfortunate reminder of the "very real dangers of trespassing on railroad property."
