ATLANTA - Atlanta homicide detectives are investigating a deadly shooting that happened early Wednesday morning in a neighborhood in the Old Fourth Ward.
Officers rushed to a home on Glen Iris Drive around 2 a.m. Wednesday. Police say they found a man shot to death in one of the back rooms of the home. A number of people live in the building, according to officers.
Witnesses told investigators they heard an argument, then heard gunshots. Investigators believe the victim was the intended target of the shooting. Police describe the victim as a man in his 40's. They're waiting to release his identity until his family has been notified of his death.
Police were looking for a burgundy Pontiac Grand Prix that was seen driving away from the crime scene.
