WALKER COUNTY, Ga. - A grandmother faces murder charges after police said she left her grandson in a car for hours.
Walker County Sheriff's deputies said Barbara Pemberton left the 13-month-old baby strapped in his car seat with the car running while she visited friends for more than five hours.
It happened on Tuesday, and although it was cold outside, investigators said the grandmother left the heat on inside and he died of elevated body temperature.
She's in jail on a $100,000 bond.
