Firefighters battle heavy flames at Dekalb apartment complex

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - DeKalb firefighters battled heavy flames at an apartment complex on Brook View Avenue early Wednesday morning.

Officials say the call came in just at 4:30 a.m. at the Sonoma Ridge Apartments just off  Brook View Avenue and dozens of firefighters moved into action as the fire ripped through at least one building.

Fire officials tell FOX 5 that everyone was able to get out and there were no injuries.

Six apartments suffered major damage and several others were impacted by the fire. 

A fire spokesman says it appears the fire started on an upper floor balcony, but it's unclear just what caused the fire.
