FBI seeking woman accused of robbing Ellenwood bank

The Federal Bureau of Investigation needs help to identify a woman wanted in connection with a recent bank robbery.

On Monday, October 30, the FBI said the female suspect attempted to rob the Wells Fargo bank on Memorial Drive in Stone Mountain. Investigators said she showed the teller a note from her cell phone, demanding cash. According to the FBI, when the woman was denied money, she left the Wells Fargo without further incidence. That happened around 10 a.m.

Then, about an hour later, the suspect walked into the Associated Credit Union on Old Grant Road in Ellenwood and demanded money again with a note. She was given an unknown amount of money, according to the FBI. Then, she left the bank.

Authorities need help finding the suspect, who is described as a black female in her late-20s to mid-30s. She's roughly 5-feet-7-inches tall and has a slender build with long black hair. Surveillance images from Wells Fargo revealed she was wearing a black coat, black wool cap, black sunglasses, black gloves, black boots and she had a dark-colored messenger bag.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477.
