FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. - Deputies said a victim of credit card fraud did more than report the crime: he found and confronted the alleged thief.
“Probably mix of curiosity and anger,” said the victim, who wanted to be known by the name “Mark.” “I'll be really happy when they actually catch her,” he said.
Police said Mark noticed strange charges from Sax Fifth Avenue on his bank account, from designer shoes and a belt, totaling hundreds of dollars. Deputies said in their report, the name on the purchase was “Krystal Wilson.”
Mark said he learned a package was en route, and decided to intercept the package; he said he then placed a “dummy” package outside, and waited all day for someone to grab it.
He said he snapped photos of the woman who did.
“I went out and confronted her. I asked her what she was doing. She said her cousin had a package delivered to the house,” he said, and decided to snap photos of the woman and the car.
Deputies said in their report, the photos of the vehicle and license plate traced back the car to Krystal Wilson. Deputies said there are warrants out for her arrest for Identity Theft.
Mark said he has been promised his money will be returned to him by his bank.
