COWETA COUNTY, Ga. - The cash register was cleaned out and an employee's pockets were emptied by two masked men at a Coweta County Waffle House.
Police said this is the second armed robbery at this location within a month. It happened at the Waffle House on Georgia Highway 154 near Interstate 85.
The first robbery was on September 14. Officers said only one man held up the restaurant that time and he was content with just the money from the register.
The second time, investigators said two men burst in, cleared out the register, and then took an employee's cell phone and wallet.
Investigators said there were three metro Atlanta Waffle House robberies this past week. The other two were in Fairburn and Jonesboro.
