UPDATE: Authorities said they have found the 8-year-old boy. The Bibb County Sheriff's Office said he is safe and sound back in the Macon area.

BIBB COUNTY, Ga. -- A Levi's Call, Georgia's Amber Alert System, has been activated for an 8-year-old Bibb County boy believed to be in the Atlanta area and possibly headed to New York.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said that Lamarion Albergottie, 8, was taken by his non-custodial mother, Mariah Ogden, 24, on Thursday from Heard Elementary. Ogden's cell phone was "pinged" in the metro Atlanta area between 6 and 7 p.m., according to law enforcement officials.
Albergottie is described as being black, 4 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing 85 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue pants, a black thermal shirt with blue short sleeves on top.
Ogden is described as being black, 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds. She was last seen wearing an orange shirt and white jeans with gold writing.
Investigators said they were in a red 2013 Chevy Impala with Georgia tag FLT5912. They were headed north towards Atlanta.
The mother is described to be diagnosed with bi-polar disorder.
Anyone who sees them is asked to call 911.
