JACKSON, Ga. - Jackson Police released the emotional 911 from a mother just moments after her son was shot.

Police arrested a man Friday in connection with the fatal shooting of a toddler in a Jackson home.
Chris Askins, who is Clay's boyfriend, was taken into custody on Friday.
Authorities charged him with Possession of a Firearm by Felon and Cruelty to Children.
FOX 5 cameras were the only ones in the courtroom as Askins made his first appearance.
“Do y'all think I would kill my son? Really?” Askins asked while waiting to be arraigned.
"You took a gun in the house and that's what killed the kid. And you know you can't possess a gun. You know this,” authorities responded.
Jayden Clay was found inside his Carr Avenue home around 6 p.m. Wednesday. Investigators said his mother was bringing in groceries when the toddler was found with a gunshot to the face next to his twin brother. The boy's twin brother, Kaiden, was not injured in the incident.
Jackson Police Chief James Morgan told FOX 5 News .45 caliber Ruger pistol was the gun that killed the toddler. They have not determined if the death was a self-inflicted wound. Morgan said the GBI will determine the cause of death. An autopsy was scheduled to be performed on Thursday, but the results have not yet been released.
Police continue to investigate with the help of the Butts County Sheriff's Office and the GBI.
Police told FOX 5’s Aungelique Proctor Askins was not the boy’s biological father, but lived with his mother.
A candle light vigil will be held Monday night outside the home and a GoFundMe account has been set up to help pay for Jayden's funeral expenses.
Askins was also charged with felony possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute. A warrant was also issued for parole violations. The Georgia Department of Corrections shows Askins was released in April of 2014 after serving time on drug charges.
