Funnel cloud spotted in Banks County during Tornado Warning

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for Banks and Jackson counties Friday afternoon. A couple of FOX 5 viewers actually spotted what the FOX 5 Storm Team was tracking.

The NWS has canceled tornado for Jackson County shortly before 3:40 p.m.

The FOX 5 Storm Team cut into live programming with the warning and this is why:

FOX 5 Viewers Pollie and Sadie Simpson, twins in the 11th grade at Banks County High School, sent us this video. FOX 5 Storm Team Meteorologist Ryan Beesley confirmed this was the reason for the tornado warning Friday afternoon.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The National Weather Service will determine if the funnel cloud reached the ground or not as well as determine the wind speed.
