After historic snowfall Friday and Saturday, warmer weather Monday melted much of the remaining snow and ice in north Georgia. Several school systems that remained closed Monday have announced that they will re-open Tuesday.  That includes Fulton County, Douglas County and Bartow County Schools.

Shaded areas may see some snow linger again Monday night, but temperatures across the area are forecast to remain above freezing through Tuesday morning.

A silent cold front will be arriving Tuesday night, bringing an extra surge of frigid air Wednesday morning.

The rest of the week looks seasonably cool and dry.
