Freeze Warning for Northwest Georgia

The temperatures are expected to dramatically drop overnight into Monday morning in some areas of North Georgia. A Freeze Warning has been issued for Northwest Georgia.

Dade, Walker, Catoosa, Whitfield, Murray, Fannin, Gilmer, Union, Towns, Chattooga, Gordon, Pickens, Dawson, Lumpkin, White, Floyd, Bartow, Cherokee, Polk, Paulding, and Haralson counties will be under that Freeze Warning from 3 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday.

Temperatures will dip in the upper 20s to around freezing. Residents are advised to bring in pets, protect livestock, and protect tender vegetation as well as secure exposed plumbing.

Closer to Atlanta, the lows will dip into the mid-30s with winds out of the northwest at 5 to 15 mph and gusts up to 25 mph.

Temperatures are expected to warm up to the mid-50s to lower-60s by midday Monday.
