GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - Police in Gwinnett County have arrested two people they say are connected to a firefight at an apartment complex near Norcross.
It happened around 10 p.m. Monday. Gwinnett County Police said they received calls about gunshots being fired along Hunters Club Lane.
When officers arrived, they found 23-year-old Michael White dead in some shrubs from gunshot wounds, according to police.
Police have found two other people they believe to have been injured at the same location – 19-year-old Jabril Adams and 25-year-old Carlos Tabb.
After reviewing the evidence, officials believe the case was a drug deal that turned into a robbery after Adams and White attempted to steal from Tabb. During a gunfight, White was shot and killed. Adams and Tabb were transported to local hospitals after the incident.
Adams has been charged with armed robbery and felony murder. After being released from the hospital, he will be transported to the Gwinnett County Detention Center.
Tabb has been released from the hospital and booked at the Gwinnett County Detention Center after being charged with criminal attempt to purchase marijuana and felony murder.
