The shooting happened just before 11:30 p.m. on June 25 in the area of Crisler Street and Jefferson Circle in Canton. Investigators said the victims and those arrested all knew each other, in fact, one of the victims is the brother of one of the men arrested.

Brody Austin Samples, 23, Temarlos Marquarous Turner, 22, and Jeremy Zeelous, 29, all face felony charges including felony murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

According to Canton Police, William Kendrick Randall, 23, of Canton, and Tony Samples, 26, of Ball Ground, were both killed in the shooting.

Upon arrival, officers found Randall's body in a grassy area adjacent to Crisler Street. Police then found an injured male at a home on Jefferson Circle. He was taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

At the same time, investigators said they found Tony Samples in a vehicle nearby. Police said he had also been shot and died as he was heading to the hospital.

A third victim was shot, but survived his injuries.

Authorities said 70 rounds were fired that night between the two groups of people following an altercation.

"Honestly, I don't think there was any intentions of that happening that night. It was just a random act that should never have happened,” said Melissa Hughes.

Hugest is the mother of 26-year-old Tony Samples who was killed during the shootout. Now her other son, 23-year-old Brody is behind bars being charged in connection with the incident.

"There are so many rumors going around and until I see proof then, you know I’m not going to believe anything," said Hughes.

Investigators said they have worked nonstop on the case, but have not yet released a motive or say if gangs or drugs played any part in the fatal shooting.

Police said there was another incident earlier this where shots were fired from a vehicle. Three people were arrested in that case.

"Right now, we are still trying to work to see if those two investigations are linked," said Canton Police Chief Mark Mitchell.

"I don't have any answers. Like the authorities I'm searching for answers myself," said Hughes.

A day after the shooting, Hughes and her daughter talked to FOX 5 News about her son Tony. She said he was a well-loved guy.

"He had two little girls. He had such a good heart, he loved those babies," said Stephanie Siguantay.

She also said her family was not the only one hurting, that Will Randall was a young father.

"Another little baby lost her daddy, a mother lost her son. It's not just about me and my son, it's about this other family too," said Hughes.

Hughes maintains the same resolution since the shooting, she wants answers.

Police said a fourth man, Joe Goldback, 35, of Jasper, was arrested on charges of obstruction. Investigators did not elaborate on those charges or how he fits into their investigation.
