The church, which is located at 4616 Clarks Bridge Road, was part of a weather-warned area for a possible tornado Friday morning.

FOX 5 crews arrived at the 200-year-old church to find the steeple toppled from atop the church building. Church members said this particular steeple was replaced about 30 years ago.

Several toppled trees landed on two church outbuildings including the activity center. Easter Sunday services will continue as planned, church officials said.

The National Weather Service will be out assessing the damage to see if the damage was caused by a tornado or straight-line winds.
