Officials: All survive fiery plane crash in Utah

A pilot and driver are lucky to be alive after a single-engine plane crash about 20 miles north of Salt Lake City.

FOX 13 Salt Lake City reported the plane went down shortly after takeoff from the Ogden-Hinckley Airport. The plane came down on top of a car traveling on a busy roadway.

Officials said the 63-year-old pilot and the driver of the car, a 43-year-old woman, were both okay following the crash and taken to an area hospital as a precaution.

The immediate aftermath of the crash was caught by Instagram user climbgrl247 who posted the following along with several pictures:

The plane wreckage will be moved to an area hanger.

The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
