ATLANTA - A place where "the lights never go out" is what officials are hoping Philips Arena will soon be transformed.

Officials described the new Philips Arena Friday revealing the details of the nearly $200 million transformation.

FOX 5 Atlanta got a special look at the venue's newest features Friday.

Developers said Philips' new look is beyond a simple renovation, but instead, a complete transformation of every part of the arena.

Project managers said the arena's vibe will be similar to some of Atlanta's other best-known locations.

The entire transformation is expected to be completed in late October.
