DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - DeKalb County Police release surveillance of a crew of burglars that investigators believe could be young as 15 years old, smashing into a pawn shop and taking off with handguns, shotguns, and assault rifles.
Police said the ordeal happened after 3 a.m. on November 20. A group of five young men cut the lock to the Candler Pawn business on Candler Road and smashed the glass to gain entry. Police said the men were inside for close to 15 minutes before fleeing the location.
This is the second time the business has been targeted, this year. Investigators told FOX 5 News, more than a dozen guns were taken in a separate burglary in April. Those culprits were arrested, and detectives believe a different crew may be responsible for the latest break-in.
On Wednesday night, police arrested Cameron Butler in connection with this latest pawn shop burglary.
"The main thing-- we want to retrieve these guns, and get them back in the hands of the owners and out of the hands of criminals," said Lt. Brian DeLoach.
Anyone with information on the remaining four suspects is asked to contact the South Precinct of the DeKalb Police department at 404-286-7990, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers for a cash reward at 404-577-TIPS.
