Atlanta police release new video Tuesday in hopes it will help land two armed and dangerous men behind bars.

Investigators said two men shot two people during two separate robberies just 30 minutes apart and police think a red SUV may be the key to cracking the case.

“These guys were out to kill, I think they were out to kill that night,” said the woman who was shot, who did not want to be identified.

In the video, screams of the terrified woman could be heard. Police said she and her fiancé were walking on East Paces Ferry earlier this month when they were targeted and two men tried to rob them.

“I just remember them coming out of the corner and saying give me your backpack, give me your backpack,” the woman, said. “Pulled out the gun and really about as soon as I saw it, he pulled the trigger,” said the woman's fiancé who also did not want to be identified.

The bullet went into her head, but miraculously did not hit her skull. It came right out of her forehead.

The surveillance video shows the suspect’s vehicle, a red SUV, possibly a Chevy Tahoe or GMC Yukon. Investigators said you can see them circle the block twice before spotting the couple walking. They then park down the street.

“They even took the time to back into a parking spot so they can see the victim as they pass in front of the car,” said Sgt. Warren Pickard, Atlanta Police Department.

After firing his gun, the video shows the men get back in SUV and take off. Police said just 30 minutes later they attacked and shot another victim, this time a man on Gresham Avenue in southeast Atlanta.

“He refused to give up his personal items and the bad guy ordered him out of his clothes and he refused to strip naked in the street and they struggled over the gun resulting in the victim being shot there as well,” said Sgt. Pickard.

Police said the red SUV has a distinguishing mark towards the bottom, a silver stripe.

“No remorse, no regard for human life. We got to get these guys soon,” said the woman.

Investigators believe these men will strike again and need them off the streets.  There is a $2,000 reward more information that leads to an arrest. You can remain anonymous 404.577.TIPS
