Southwest flight makes emergency landing in Atlanta

A Southwest flight traveling from Tampa to Nashville made an emergency landing at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport. according to Southwest Airlines.

Southwest Flight 1694 landed safely after indications that there was a performance issue with on of the aircraft's engines.

The captain declared an emergency as a measure of caution to receive priority handling from air traffic control, according to Southwest.

There are no reports of injuries, and Southwest is working to get the 129 passengers accommodated on another plane to continue to Nashville, according to Southwest.
