Services mark Peace Officers Memorial Day in Georgia

Dozens of people were on hand for the annual law enforcement memorial.

East Point Police Chief Tommy Gardner led the ceremony remembering the officers who died in the line of duty.

Officers from a dozen different Atlanta law enforcement agencies gather to remember their fallen brothers and sisters.

The Atlanta Interagency Law Enforcement Partnership came together in Woodruff Park for a memorial service.

The event featured an invocation from the APD’s chaplain and an address from the former president of Central Atlanta Progress.

Tuesday morning's ceremonies were part of national police week and were just a few of many tributes that took place across the country.
