Savannah fugitive caught in Panera Bread restaurant

A fugitive that was wanted for escape from Savannah-Chatham County was found at a Panera Bread restaurant in Bibb County.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said they received information Sunday night from the US Marshals Southeastern Regional Fugitive Task Force that a fugitive from Savannah was in the Macon area. Randolph Dominique Frazier Jr., 30, was wanted for escape from Savannah-Chatham County, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 6 p.m., the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said they were told that Frazier Jr. may be at the Panera Bread restaurant on Tom Hill Sr. Boulevard.

When deputies arrived at the restaurant, they found Frazier Jr. sitting at a table near the back of the business. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said deputies acted quickly and took Frazier Jr. into custody without incident.

Frazier Jr. was taken to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and a hold was placed on him for Savannah Metro Police Department, McIntosh County Sheriff's Office and Twiggs County Sheriff's Office, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
