Troup County has been hit hard by flooding Friday. Several roadways were washed out during the storm and immediate aftermath. Most of the roadways are rural, but there are concerns about some major roadways too.

One of those locates is Bill Taylor Road where a raging flood created a big hole where the roadway used to be. Another is Wright Road.

Damage ranged from simple splitting pavement to a complete washout.

Georgia Highway 219 was closed for a time. The Georgia Department of Transportation had to inspect it before officials could reopen it. The road was reopened as of Friday afternoon.
