ATLANTA - Atlanta police detectives are investigating a woman's death after she was found in the middle of a street in southwest Atlanta early Monday morning.
Investigators said a 911 call came in around 2 a.m. The caller, a driver, told the operator a woman was in the middle of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, under the overpass at Interstate 20, on the ground. The woman, described as African American in her 30's to 40's, was dead, but detectives don't know how she died.
Detectives said it appears the woman may have fallen from the overpass. Detectives said their investigation path will depend on what the Medical Examiner finds.
