Police: Trio carjacks two men, murders one

EAST POINT, Ga. - East Point police are searching for three men in connection with a deadly carjacking. 

It happened just after midnight on Fox Hunt Lane in the Parkside at Camp Creek Apartments in East Point.

Detectives say three men approached 24-year-old Terrick Mathews and another man as they sat in a Nissan Maxima in front of building 4051.

Police say the two men were surrendering the car when one of the suspects shot Mathews in the neck. He died on the scene.

Two hours later, Atlanta police discovered the same Nissan Maxima in some apartments on Old Hapeville Road. 

East Point police say there maybe surveillance video of the three suspects. They are working to solve this deadly crime.
